A university medical centre in Germany ordered two patient-specific research helmets. It was the first order paid in full through a university purchasing process.
Each helmet is built from the subject's head model and the coil pose planned by the research team, so the team can return to the same target in every session. This is the typical research workflow: the team plans in its own neuronavigation or modelling software, sends the head model with the coil in place, and receives a printed helmet that reproduces that pose.
