Not every clinic has an MRI for each patient. Brainautics therefore added an optical route. The head is scanned with a tablet while the patient wears a thin cap that presses the hair down. The operator marks landmarks on the cap, and these appear on the coloured 3D model.
Such a scan is enough to build a guide for standard targets. For individually planned targets, an MRI remains the reference.
